We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Cyber Security – System Integration Engineer to support the delivery of a project. This is a senior and highly specialized position combining OT Cyber Security, System Integration, Commissioning, Compliance, Verification, and Technical Leadership.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that cyber security requirements are effectively implemented across systems, suppliers, alliances, and operational interfaces throughout the project lifecycle. You will act as a technical authority and company representative, ensuring compliance, system integrity, and secure end-to-end functionality from field devices to cloud-based digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Cyber Security activities related to system delivery and integration.
- Ensure compliance with company cyber security requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation of cyber security requirements throughout engineering, commissioning, and operational readiness phases.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62443, DNV-RP-G108, and internal cyber security procedures.
- Review and update Functional Design Requirements and related technical documentation.
- Verify that cyber security requirements are included in design, procurement, vendor packages, and project execution.
- Ensure cyber security is integrated into end-to-end system functionality across the project.
- Coordinate interfaces between Engineering, Commissioning, Operations, IT, OT, Suppliers, and Alliance Partners.
- Participate in audits, verifications, assurance activities, and technical reviews as the company representative.
- Support management of Technical Queries (TQs), Deviations (DEVs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Ensure cyber security is addressed across infrastructure, digital solutions, Digital Twin environments, and cloud-connected systems.
- Act as the company focal point and authority for cyber risk assessments and technical clarifications.
- Drive multidisciplinary technical activities and task forces where required.
- Support project planning, risk management, quality assurance, and operational readiness activities.
- Ensure safe and efficient handover of systems and facilities to Operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- We are looking for candidates with strong experience in industrial environments, preferably within Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, or other complex process industries.
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience in OT Cyber Security within industrial control environments.
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, Automation and Operational Technology (OT).
- Proven experience with IEC 62443 and industrial cyber security principles.
- Experience with system integration across OT and IT environments.
- Experience with cyber risk assessments and security-by-design methodologies.
- Strong understanding of network segmentation, infrastructure security, and secure system architectures.
- Experience participating in audits, compliance reviews, verification, or assurance activities.
- Experience working in large multidisciplinary projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Norwegian, written and verbal.
Preferred Experience
- Oil & Gas project experience in Norway.
- Commissioning, Completion, Mechanical Completion (MC), and handover to Operations.
- Digital Twin, Cognite CDF, or field-to-cloud architectures.
- SAS, Telecom, Historian, and automation systems.
- IT/OT convergence and industrial network infrastructures.
- FAT, SAT, offshore commissioning, and hook-up activities.
- Technical leadership, resource management, and scope management.
- Supplier and procurement package follow-up.
